About This Course

Learning Objectives

1. Familiarize students with widely used international business terms and concepts;
2. Help students identify the role and impact of political, economical, social and cultural variable in international business;
3. Introduce the students to the contemporary issues in international business that illustrates the unique challenges of international business;
4. Develop the written and oral skills of students in analysing business issues through research, writing, and discussion of current events

Intended Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:

1. Express theories of international trade;
2. Argue in favor and against the development of global trade
3. Understand major current developments in international business
4. grasp complex economic, political and social aspects surrounding international business

Fabiha has done her Msc in International Business & Entrepreneurship from University of Glasgow, UK in 2010-2011. She obtained her Bachelors in Business Administration from BRAC University (Major in Finance and Marketing) in 2009. She has research interest in International Business, Marketing, E-Marketing etc. She has already published several journals in International Journals. She is also the Assistant Proctor of BRAC University. And her team mate Mahreen is a passionate teacher of Marketing and International Business. She has been in tertiary level teaching since May 2009 and with BRAC Business School for over six years. Mahreen completed her BBA from the faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka and then MSc in International Marketing and Management from Queen Mary, University of London. She did a second Masters in Education majoring in Curriculum and Instructional Technologies from Institute of Education and Research, University of Dhaka. Besides teaching, Mahreen has also served as an Education and Curriculum Consultant for SEIP, ADB funded project with the Ministry of Finance and she is UK validated Core Skills trainer of teachers for Connecting Classrooms project with British Council, South Asia.
