About The Course

This course is designed to provide the learners with a solid understanding of the concepts of Linear Algebra, an indispensable part of both the fields of Computer Science and Mathematics. This is an undergraduate course for students of Engineering, Science, and Mathematics. Linear algebra is the study of linear systems of equations, vector spaces, and linear transformations. Solving systems of linear equations is a basic tool of many mathematical procedures used for solving problems in science and engineering.

This course, designed for independent study, can be divided into four interconnected parts:

  • The First Part covers the basics of Linear Transformations, matrix theory, and systems of linear equations as well as how to solve them using the elimination process.
  • The Second Part covers the concepts of vector spaces and related topics. It also covers vector projection.
  • The Third Part covers a few ideas and approaches of Data Science that are based on Linear Algebra.
  • The Fourth Part is Fourier Analysis will be delivered as a stand-alone topic.
